The Echo Sport is our most popular boat. The Sport is the same hull and deck as the Classic. The Sport features a carbon fiber seat and foot stretcher, that, when combined with the all white gel coat, lowers the Sport's weight a few pounds below the Classic. The sporty look adds a different energy to your rowing experience.
The Echo Sport’s simple hull design allows it to be easily rowed on flat water while it’s 21’ waterline, 26” beam, and wave piercing bow make it stable and reassuring in open and coastal waters.
The Echo Sport features the patented Echo folding rigger system design which makes it easy for one person to transport, carry, and rig. At 56 pounds fully rigged, the Echo Sport weighs the same as a comparably sized sea kayak and can easily be car topped, without the hassle of cumbersome manually inserted rowing structures or fixed riggers.
The Echo Sport also has two 4” cockpit watertight access ports for keys, wallets, phones, and accessories. There is also a built in suction bailer in the cockpit, that bails the cockpit in a few easy strokes. The seat tie-down also comes with a whistle for safety. The Echo Sport has forward deck bungees for tying down gear. This boat is designed for all rowing skill levels from beginner to Olympic rowers. Rowing an Echo has tremendous health benefits. It is low impact, is terrific for your cardiovascular system and burns on average 600 calories per hour versus a typical kayak or paddle board that burns about 350 calories per hour.
