Launch sites in Massachusetts
The Green Harbor River
PETER IGO PARK, MARSHFIELD, MA
Peter Igo Park is a beautiful spot on the Green Harbor River. Free parking, but bring a set of wheels for your boat, because it is a hike through the marsh to the launch spot. Nice low docks for launching.
Driftway launch site
DRIFTWAY CONSERVATION PARK, SCITUATE, MA
Great access to the North and South Rivers from this spot. Very busy with boat traffic during the weekends and holidays. We suggest weekday mornings, early. We also suggest staying well below the Route 3A bridge. There are a lot of boats and docks in that area.
Norwell town landing
NORWELL TOWN LANDING, NORWELL, MA
Small launch site that gives great access to the upper North River. We believe you need a Town of Norwell sticker to park at this spot. An historic row, with plaques commemorating the shipbuilders that dotted the river 150 years ago.
Launch sites in Maine
SNOW MARINE PARK, ROCKLAND, ME
Great launch site. Good parking and you can row in Rockland Harbor. Watch out for the Island Ferries and loberstermen, they consider a rowing shell a speed bump. If you stick to the Owls Head shoreline there is not a lot of boat traffic.
Launch sites in Michigan
BAYSIDE PARK, WILLIAMSBURG, MI
If the wind is out of the S, SE Bayside Park is a great place to launch
LAKE LEELANAU, MI
This is a DNR boat launch site just south of the Lake Leelanau Narrows bridge off of County Road 641 South Lake Leelanau Drive.
This launch site provides access to both Upper Lake Leelanau and Lower Lake Leelanau through the Narrows. This is a developed Boat Launch site with parking for vehicles and trailers. There are also restroom facilities at this location.
EAST BAY PARK, TRAVERSE CITY, MI
If the wind is out of the the W, SW, then East Bay is your best bet to launch
